Attorney Profile

Attorney Michael Ericson maintains a general practice including but not limited to personal injury and criminal defense.  Mr. Ericson has been in private practice since 2004.  He is licensed to practice in both state and federal court.

Mr. Ericson graduated with honors from Drake University Law School and began his legal career as an attorney at an established general practice firm.  He later started his own practice.  Mr. Ericson also holds a master's degree from the UW-Madison, where he was awarded a graduate assistantship and taught a course on the law of mass communication.  He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond.

In his increasingly rare spare time, Mr. Ericson enjoys traveling, playing and watching various sports (especially the Wisconsin Badgers), and spending time with family and friends.

Firm Overview

Ericson Law Office operates primarily as a litigation practice.  Mr. Ericson represents clients in court for both civil and criminal matters.

Mr. Ericson's civil practice is devoted to representing people in a variety of personal injury actions against individuals, businesses, and insurance companies.  A substantial part of Mr. Ericson's personal injury practice involves automobile collision cases.  Mr. Ericson also practices in the broad areas of family law, insurance law, and municipal law.

Mr. Ericson's criminal practice is focused on representing people under investigation and charged with offenses ranging from simple misdemeanors to felonies.  He also frequently works with juveniles and their families in delinquency matters.  Mr. Ericson has a proven track record of successfully resolving criminal cases at the pre-trial motion and negotiation stage.  However, he is also prepared to take cases to trial when appropriate.
