Attorney Michael Ericson practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation and criminal/traffic defense. Mr. Ericson has been in private practice since 2004, after passing the Iowa Bar Examination on the first attempt. He was then admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 2010 after demonstrating a record of years of competent and ethical practice. He worked for both large and small firms before choosing to start his own practice and work independently.
Mr. Ericson earned his law degree, With Honors, from Drake University Law School, where he was a regular member of the Dean's List for academic achievement and was named a Finalist in a Moot Court Oral Argument competition. He also served as a Research Assistant for a professor specializing in Civil Litigation. Mr. Ericson holds a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was one of only two students in his cohort awarded a graduate assistantship and served as the teaching assistant for a law related course for four semesters. He earned his bachelor's degree on a full academic scholarship from the University of Richmond, one of the top ranked small universities in the nation.
Practicing law has given Mr. Ericson the responsibility of helping people with the most important events in their lives, the impact of which usually extends far beyond the final hearing. He has litigated civil disputes involving large sums of money, protected clients' interests when their families were in crisis, and successfully resolved criminal/traffic matters ranging from low level misdemeanors to high level felonies.
